Job summary

Kainos Group plc is seeking a Workday AMS Adaptive Planning Consultant to join our delivery team in the UK. You will help clients transform budgeting, revenue planning, and KPIs using Adaptive Planning within the Workday ecosystem, delivering engagements on time and within budget.

You will mentor junior colleagues, engage with clients across industries, and travel to customer sites as needed to ensure successful implementations and measurable value realization.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building complex financial planning models.
• Experience implementing at least one Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise on Adaptive Planning and maintain proficiency and certification.
• Contribute to client implementations across phases: assess current planning, design and configure models, and guide workshops.
• Deliver accurate forecasting and planning models to meet client needs and timelines.
• Support training delivery and document planning models and reports for clients.
• Communicate regularly with clients to set expectations and ensure project success.
• Collaborate with internal teams to share learnings and problem-solving.

As a Workday AMS Adaptive Planning Consultant you’ll work in a team or independently helping our clients transform their business planning needs from a post-production standpoint (budgeting, revenue, personnel, KPIs, quotas/capacity, territories, reporting & analytics) with the Adaptive Planning Business Planning Cloud. You will work as part of a delivery team supporting implementations for customers of all size, across multiple industries. You will be a specialist contributor within you team, providing mentorship to more junior team members. You will be expected to:

• Providing expertise on the Adaptive Planning solution – you will be expected to maintain proficiency and certification in the Adaptive Planning solution suite
• Contributing to implementation for our clients – you will contribute to all phases of Adaptive Planning implementation projects, including: o Work with clients to understand their current planning process, and take a consultative approach to move legacy models into Adaptive Planning o Investigate and in consultation with the implementation lead, recommend the best solution based on the client’s requirements, budget, and timeframe, with the flexibility to adapt the scope as additional needs are identified o Assist in guiding clients through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of each client’s unique business requirements at all stages of the project o Develop and configure accurate forecasting and planning models in Adaptive Planning to meet clients’ business needs o Assist in the planning and delivery of training sessions for users o Document the planning models and reporting delivered to clients o Ensure rapid time to value through delivering engagements on time and budget
• Supporting our clients to ensure success – you will be communicating regularly, concisely, and clearly with clients to set proper expectations and ensure client success. You will also provide general customer service and assistance to clients and serve as the go-to resource on all project related inquiries
• Collaborating internally – you will be sharing your learnings and problems solved with your colleagues.

What we are looking for:

• Financial and/or management accounting experience, particularly budgeting, planning and management reporting
• Exposure to designing and building complex financial planning models, with advanced Excel skills
• Experience implementing at least one Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system (e.g., Adaptive Planning, Host Analytics, Anaplan, Oracle Hyperion)
• Strong communicator, able to communicate with customers and colleagues with impact, credibility and empathy, including in a remote working situation. Sound ability to formally present to senior Client audiences

• Ability to execute your individual tasks with limited supervision and manage your time effectively and record it accurately
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and make sensible decisions under pressure taking a balanced view of Customer demands and project commercials

• Evident consulting skills e.g. presenting, leading workshops, demonstrating, and explaining complex functionality or solutions to customers
• Able to travel to customer sites in the same region (minimal out of region travel may also be required)

Nice to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or Business
• Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or a Part Qualified Accountant with strong industry experience
• Previous consulting experience
