Job summary

Expleo Defence Belfast seeks an experienced Project Manager to own and deliver engineering work packages across Systems and Software. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage dependencies and report progress to programme leadership, ensuring time, cost, quality and technical standards are met.

The role suits a seasoned Systems or Software Engineer stepping into technical leadership, project delivery, or work package management within a defence-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Systems/Software/CS/Electronics or related engineering discipline.
• Professional engineering or project management qualifications (APM, PRINCE2) are advantageous.
• Experience in defence/aerospace or highly regulated environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of allocated Systems and/or Software work packages from planning through to delivery.
• Develop and maintain detailed work package plans, schedules, milestones and deliverables.
• Coordinate engineering activities across Systems, Software and wider multidisciplinary teams.
• Define and manage work package scope, objectives, deliverables and acceptance criteria.
• Monitor progress against cost, schedule, quality and technical performance targets.
• Identify, manage and elevate risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies.
• Prepare and present regular work package status reports to project leadership.
