Job summary

Capital City College is seeking a motivated Work Experience Manager to lead operational delivery of learner work experience and industry placements across college sites in London. Are you ready to make an impact at one of London’s leading Further Education providers? Capital City College is looking for a skilled Work Experience Manager to support and drive key operational functions, helping shape the future of education in the heart of London.

About The Role

This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis.

To be responsible for providing operational management of learner Work Experience and Industry Placement provision across certain college sites across the college (a number of Work Experience Managers share the provision amongst them). The postholder will play a crucial role in ensuring the overall wellbeing, engagement and success of students within the college.

You will be joining a dynamic and supportive team of colleagues who are committed to excellence. The team has a strong collaborative culture, sharing best practice and innovative approaches.

The post holder manages part of the college’s work experience team to work directly with learners and in collaboration with curriculum departments and colleagues. They have responsibility for employer engagement, both directly via their team and in working with relevant curriculum colleagues.

About You

We’re looking for a reliable and motivated individual who takes pride in delivering excellent service. You should bring:

  • Provide operational management to ensure the delivery of an expert, innovative, agile and modern learner work experience and industry placement service through a proactive Work Experience team that supports students to develop achieve their potential.
  • Ensure learners are completing their work and industry placement planned hours in exciting settings with aspirational employers.
  • Ensure the managed Work Experience Team finds suitable placements for all in-scope learners.
  • Provide advice to the Head of Work Experience to ensure management aims and targets for learner work experience are achieved.
  • Work collaboratively with curriculum on work experience and industry placement plans to support positive learner experiences, also with input from career teams.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with external organisations, agencies and employers to improve student employability and placement opportunities.
