Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking a Work Based Learning (WBL) English & Maths Lecturer to deliver Functional Skills to apprentices and work-based learners in Salisbury and across South Wiltshire.
You will plan and deliver learner-centred sessions, working at employer premises, college campuses, or online, with regular travel. The role emphasizes supporting learners to achieve qualifications while collaborating with employers and curriculum teams.

Salary: Unqualified Lecturer: £29,294 per year, pro rata Qualified Lecturer: £31,885 - £40,814 per year, pro rata (Depending on Skills, Qualifications & Experience)

Whether you're an experienced English and Maths lecturer, a Functional Skills specialist, or a professional looking to move into teaching, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact. You'll work closely with apprentices, employers, and curriculum teams, delivering flexible, engaging teaching that supports learners alongside their vocational studies.
We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience in Further Education (FE), apprenticeships, or work-based learning. However, if you have strong English and Maths knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping learners succeed.
This role supports apprentices and work-based learners across the South Wiltshire area, delivering Functional Skills English and Maths through a flexible and employer-responsive approach. Teaching may take place at employer premises, on college campuses, or online, and may involve working with learners on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. Regular travel within the region is therefore an essential requirement of the role.
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time 18.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
