Job summary

Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking a Work Based Learning (WBL) English & Maths Lecturer to deliver Functional Skills to apprentices and work-based learners in Salisbury and across South Wiltshire.

You will plan and deliver learner-centred sessions, working at employer premises, college campuses, or online, with regular travel. The role emphasizes supporting learners to achieve qualifications while collaborating with employers and curriculum teams.

Qualifications

Relevant English and Maths knowledge with ability to explain concepts clearly

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality Functional Skills English and/or Maths teaching to apprentices and work-based learners.
Plan and deliver engaging, learner-centred sessions in workplace, campuses, and online.
Support learners with varying starting points to build confidence and achieve qualifications.
Provide flexible teaching to meet individual learners and employers.
Travel regularly across the South Wiltshire area to employer settings.
Deliver teaching in one-to-one and small group formats.
Collaborate with curriculum teams and employers to ensure progress.
Monitor learner achievement, provide feedback, and maintain records.
Adapt teaching approaches to meet learner needs and remove barriers to achievement.
Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing.
