Job summary

Pertemps Telford is seeking a Wiring/Soldering Technician to build wiring harnesses from engineering drawings, assemble prototype and production harnesses including HV cables, and manage build schedules in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

You will liaise with internal teams on installations, test and commission electrical systems as required, and training will be provided to ensure quality across complex assemblies.

This full-time Wiring/Soldering Technician role in Telford, with a Shropshire specialist manufacturer, pays £12.71 per hour, rising to a competitive rate once permanent.

The successful candidate will build wiring harnesses from engineering drawings, assemble prototype and production units including HV cables, manage build schedules, and liaise with internal departments on installations. Testing and commissioning electrical systems may also form part of the duties.

Applicants should have manufacturing or production experience, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and skills in crimping, HV cable preparation, and wiring standards. This position suits someone methodical, precise, and capable of maintaining consistent quality across complex assemblies.
