Green Folk in Reading is seeking an experienced Panel Builder to join our engineering team. You will build and wire electrical control panels from schematics and drawings, installing PLCs, relays, contactors, drives and switchgear, and conducting fault finding and testing.

You will ensure all work adheres to quality, safety, and industry standards. You will collaborate with engineering and production to deliver projects on time, contributing to a supportive and collaborative working environment

Formación

• Experience building and wiring electrical control panels from schematics and drawings.

We are partnering with a well-established and growing engineering business that is looking to add an experienced Panel Builder to its team in Reading.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrical professional who takes pride in producing high-quality control panels and electrical assemblies, working on a variety of exciting projects across multiple industries.

The Role

As a Panel Builder, you will be responsible for:

• Building and wiring electrical control panels from schematics and engineering drawings
• Installing electrical components including PLCs, relays, contactors, drives, and switchgear
• Conducting panel modifications, fault finding, and testing
• Ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and industry standards
• Working closely with engineering and production teams to deliver projects on time

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Panel Builder, Control Panel Wireperson, or Electrical Fitter
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Experience wiring industrial control panels and electrical assemblies
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Relevant electrical qualifications (desirable but not essential with proven experience)
