Job summary

Amey is seeking Winter Patrol Drivers for Ayr Depot to support winter operations in Scotland. You will operate gritting vehicles, support road maintenance, and help keep roads safe during severe weather. This fixed-term role runs October to March, with training included.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 Licence is required.
• Full Driver CPC qualification is required.
• Demonstrated safety consciousness and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate gritting vehicles and other specialist equipment.
• Carry out winter maintenance activities including gritting and inspections.
• Complete daily checks and report defects; ensure work complies with safety procedures.
