Driver Hire Oxford is seeking a Standby Gritter Driver (Class 2) for a client based at Drayton, Oxfordshire. The role operates on a zero-hours contract with a five-month term and weather-dependent hours, including potential two shifts per day during winter months.

Guaranteed standby payment of £241.37 per week plus call-out pay of £21.25 per hour when called in, with on-site onboarding via a digital handbook and PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Class 2 driving licence required.
• Experience with winter maintenance is a plus.
• Must be flexible and reliable, able to respond to weather-related calls.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 Gritter vehicle during winter weather.
• Attend daily weather briefings and respond to call-outs as required.
• Maintain compliance with tachograph and safety protocols.
