The Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide efficient, courteous, and professional wine service to guests in all dining areas
• Assist in the delivery of food and beverage service to guests across the hotel and spa
• Recommend wine pairings and confidently answer questions about wine lists and menu items
• Maintain excellent product knowledge, including regular updates on our wine selection
• Respond promptly and politely to guest inquiries, ensuring their needs are met
• Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest service
• Handle guest feedback and complaints with professionalism, resolving issues promptly or escalating them as needed to ensure guest satisfaction
• Adhere to health and safety standards, as well as Hoar Cross Hall’s dress code and service guidelines
• Undertake regular training and development sessions to refine your skills and service delivery

Personal Specification:
Essential:

• A genuine passion for fine wine and hospitality
• An understanding of wine pairings and basic wine service techniques
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Passion for food, guest service, and creating memorable experiences
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• A positive, team-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in food and beverage or wine focued role
• Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Qualification
• Experience handling large volumes of covers is a plus
• Food safety training or knowledge is advantageous

Shift Pattern:

• Full-time - 37.5 hours per week
• Shifts are spread across 5 days a week, including weekends
• Full flexibility is required, as shifts will adapt based on team and business needs
