Job summary

Majestic Wine Group is looking for a dynamic Sales Assistant in Winchester to support store performance, deliver outstanding customer service and drive sales. This role involves driving company vans, opening/closing compliance as a key holder, and delivering wine knowledge with growing product expertise.

Applicants should be able to work evenings and weekends, have a full UK driving licence for 12 months, and be willing to learn WSET Level 2.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK manual driving licence for at least 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting targets.
• Deliver market-leading customer service to grow loyalty and repeat business.
• Provide VIP concierge service and proactively update customers on products and tastings.
• Share passion for the range and sell the story, not just discounts.
• Continue learning about wine to support WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
• Maintain the store’s appearance and upkeep both inside and out.
• Participate in day-to-day store operations including stock deliveries and customer calls.
• Identify improvement opportunities to optimise store operations with the team.
• Adhere to internal policies and complete mandatory training.
