About the Role

A global IT services provider is looking for a Windows Engineer to join their on-site team in Stevenage, supporting enterprise infrastructure within a secure, structured environment. This is a technically hands-on role where you'll be responsible for delivering and improving core Microsoft-based services and resolving complex infrastructure issues as part of a critical service operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert support across Windows-based systems and infrastructure
• Implement and document technical changes via established change control processes
• Contribute to service performance monitoring and incident/problem resolution
• Support technical project delivery under guidance of project managers
• Analyse service data and trends to proactively improve system performance
• Train and coach team members, and act as an escalation point for service issues
• Maintain strong awareness of the business context and customer needs

Qualifications and Skills

• Solid experience with Windows Server environments and enterprise infrastructure
• Familiarity with incident, problem, and change management processes
• Comfortable working with structured SLAs and statistical service reporting
• Knowledge of Active Directory, system software, and IT operations
• Team-oriented with a proactive approach to technical troubleshooting
• Any exposure to secure or high-availability environments is a plus
