Job summary

P&L windows and doors is expanding its team in the Fife area, seeking skilled window and door fitters for residential and commercial projects. The role requires experience and a strong understanding of construction practices with safety-focused job performance.

The position offers a 3-month probation and may require occasional Saturdays. Driving licence is essential for travel between sites, with hours Monday to Friday 07:30am until finish.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in window fitting or a related construction field is essential.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and replace windows and doors in accordance with industry standards and building regulations.
• UPVC window preparations.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and effectively during installation processes.
• Conduct measurements and assessments to ensure accurate fitting of windows.
• Perform necessary adjustments to frames, sills, and other components for optimal performance.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout the installation process.
• Be able to work alone and alongside other tradespeople while maintaining professionalism.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand project specifications accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client queries and concerns professionally.
