Job summary

Porterhouse Recruitment Ltd on behalf of our client is seeking experienced Window Fitters and fitting teams to install windows and doors across Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas. The role includes full installation responsibilities from start to finish and may be offered as PAYE or self-employed.

Applicants should have proven window and door fitting experience, CSCS and MVQ or MTC qualifications, and a clean driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven window and door fitting experience.
• CSCS and MVQ/MTC qualifications preferred.
• UK driving licence with ≤6 points.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Remove existing windows and doors and prepare openings for installation.
• Position, fix and glaze new windows and doors to a high standard.
• Seal, trim and finish for a neat, weatherproof result.
• Check installations are secure and operate correctly before handover.
• Protect customers’ properties and maintain a clean, safe working area.
• Communicate professionally with customers and the installation team.
• Identify and report issues promptly and carry out Health and Safety requirements.
• Complete installations from start to finish and ensure a high standard of finish.

Window Fitters / Window Fitting Teams

Our client is an established, independently owned, family-run home improvement business with over 40 years’ experience. Specialising in bespoke windows and doors, the company offers uPVC and aluminium products alongside conservatories, orangeries and extensions, with a strong emphasis on quality workmanship, professional installation and customer care.

Our client is seeking experienced Window Fitters and established Fitting Teams to carry out installations across Buckinghamshire and the surrounding areas. Opportunities are available for individual fitters seeking PAYE employment and self-employed installers or teams.

Duties

• Remove existing windows and doors carefully and prepare openings for installation.
• Position, fix and glaze new windows and doors to a high standard.
• Complete sealing, trimming and making good for a neat, weatherproof finish.
• Check each installation is secure, operates correctly and is ready for handover.
• Protect customers’ properties and maintain a clean, safe working area.
• Communicate professionally with customers and the wider installation team.
• Identify and report installation issues or additional work required promptly.
• Carry out all work in accordance with Health and Safety Standards

Van can be provided for both PAYE and Self employed – full details available

UK driving licence with no more than six points.

CSCS required

MVQ or MTC required. Expired qualifications can be considered.

Applicants should have proven window and door fitting experience, strong practical skills and excellent attention to detail. You must be reliable, organised and comfortable working independently or as part of a fitting team.

Experience of completing installations from start to finish, resolving practical fitting issues and achieving a high standard of finish is particularly important.
