Job summary

Full Circle Wind Services in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on wind turbine technician to lead major component exchanges and routine maintenance, working closely with crane operators and site supervisors to ensure safe, efficient exchanges of gearboxes, generators, bearings and rotor blades.

You will perform detailed inspections, document findings, and collaborate with OEM advisors and wind-farm operators to keep projects on time.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in wind turbine maintenance, with a focus on major component exchanges.
  • A strong mechanical or electrical background, with NVQ, HNC, or similar qualifications.
  • GWO Basic Safety Training (Working at Heights, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness).
  • A valid medical fitness certificate for working at heights.
  • Confidence working in challenging weather conditions and at heights.
  • A full driving license and willingness to travel to remote wind farm sites.
  • A team-first mindset and strong communication skills, with the ability to problem-solve under pressure.

Soft Skills For The Win(d)
  • OEM-specific training (Siemens Gamesa, Vestas, GE, Nordex, Enercon, Senvion, or EWT).
  • Expertise in hydraulics, torque and tensioning tools, or borescope inspections.
  • Experience with technical lift plans, rigging diagrams, or engineering schematics.
  • A background in wind turbine installation or commissioning.
