Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions seeks a Wind Turbine Technician to join a focused team responsible for maintenance, servicing and inspection of wind turbines and balance of plant, ensuring safety, efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, use SCADA to diagnose faults, and keep detailed records while following HSSE procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven wind turbine maintenance and servicing experience.
• GWO certification (including Enhanced First Aid and Advanced Rescue).
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical technical background with troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, inspections, fault finding, modifications, retrofits, and component replacements on wind turbines and balance of plant equipment.
• Use SCADA and diagnostic systems to investigate faults, reset turbines, monitor performance, and maximise energy production.
• Work safely and independently within a small team, maintaining accurate records and adhering to HSSE procedures.

Job description

The Wind Turbine Technician is responsible with others, to provide maintenance, servicing and inspection of wind turbines and balance of plant, to ensure the assets are maintained in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner, maximising the commercial value within compliant requirements

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, inspections, fault finding, modifications, retrofits, and component replacements on wind turbines and balance of plant equipment.
• Use SCADA and diagnostic systems to investigate faults, reset turbines, monitor performance, and maximise energy production.
• Work safely and independently within a small team, maintaining accurate records and adhering to all HSSE and safe working procedures.

Must Have

• Proven wind turbine maintenance and servicing experience.
• Full GWO certification (including Enhanced First Aid and Advanced Rescue).
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical technical background with troubleshooting experience.

Nice to Have

• Senvion MM platform experience.
• Competent Slinger/Signaller and Banksman.
• HNC, ONC or NVQ qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
