Job summary

Nordex SE is seeking a Wind Turbine Service Technician for the Douglas, South Lanarkshire area. You will service and maintain wind turbines, perform troubleshooting, and implement action plans to improve fleet availability.

The role requires mechanical or electrical training at NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, with on-site work, occasional travel, and weekend on-call duties. Overtime and weekend payments apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical/electrical servicing or maintenance.
• Ability to read electrical/hydraulic/mechanical diagrams.
• Trained to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical/electrical field.

Responsibilities

• On-site performance analysis and action plan implementation.
• Troubleshoot and maintain Nordex wind turbines across the Douglas area.
• Update software and hardware on turbine controls and components.
• Generate reports on turbine performance and faults.
• Provide on-site support and remote assistance when needed.
• Travel to wind farms; participate in weekend on-call rotations.
