Job summary

Cadillac Formula 1® Team is seeking a Graduate Experimental Aerodynamicist to support wind tunnel testing, data analysis and reporting within the Aerodynamics Department. You will prepare, execute and analyse wind tunnel tests to drive informed design decisions for performance gains.

The role requires a degree in Aerodynamics or related engineering, recent graduation, and familiarity with CFD and CAD tools (3DEXPERIENCE/CATIA). Travel to Cologne may be required as part of wind tunnel work.

Qualifications

• Degree in Aerodynamics or related engineering.
• Recent graduate (within 12 months).
• Knowledge of experimental wind tunnel testing techniques and aerodynamic data analysis.
• Familiarity with CFD methodologies and 3D CAD software, ideally 3DEXPERIENCE/CATIA.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate work to deadlines.
• Effective team player with strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication, including email correspondence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Committed to contributing to a positive, collaborative, and inclusive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Support wind tunnel test programmes: preparation, execution, analysis.
• Analyze experimental data to assess aerodynamic performance and identify trends.
• Collaborate with aerodynamicists, model technicians and test engineers to meet testing objectives.
• Define test requirements, configurations and measurement strategies to maximise value.
• Investigate data quality, repeatability and uncertainties to ensure reliable results.
• Develop wind tunnel testing methods, processes and tools.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to the wider aerodynamic development team.
• Travel to Cologne wind tunnel when required.
• Maintain accurate test records and documentation for traceability.
• Contribute ideas to improve testing efficiency and data quality.
