Job summary

Cadillac Formula 1® Team is seeking a Graduate Experimental Aerodynamicist to join the Aerodynamics Department. The role supports aero development through wind tunnel test preparation, execution, data collection and robust analysis to inform design decisions and maximize on-track performance.

You will collaborate with aerodynamicists, technicians and test engineers, define test requirements, investigate data quality and uncertainties, and help improve testing methods and tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Aerodynamics, Aeronautics or related engineering discipline.
• Recent graduate (within last 12 months).
• Experience with experimental wind tunnel testing techniques.
• Familiarity with CFD methodologies and 3D CAD software (3DEXPERIENCE/CATIA).
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Committed to a positive, collaborative and inclusive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Support wind tunnel test preparation, execution and analysis.
• Analyze experimental data to assess aerodynamic performance and identify trends.
• Collaborate with aerodynamicists, model technicians, designers and test engineers.
• Define test requirements, configurations and measurement strategies.
• Investigate data quality, repeatability and uncertainties.
• Develop wind tunnel testing methods, processes and tools.
• Prepare clear technical reports and communicate findings to the team.
• Support investigation and resolution of testing issues.
• Develop understanding of wind tunnel results, CFD predictions and on-track performance.
• Maintain accurate test records and documentation.
• Suggest improvements to testing efficiency and data quality.
• Willingness to travel to Cologne wind tunnel as required.
