Job summary

Statkraft is seeking an experienced Wind Farm Technician to join its Operations team in Thurso. This hands-on role focuses on safe, efficient operation of wind farm assets and maximising energy generation.

You will perform planned and corrective maintenance across multi-brand wind turbine generators and Balance of Plant equipment, while adhering to safety standards and contractual commitments. Working closely with the Site Manager and Lead Technician, you will contribute to operational targets

Qualifications

• Flexible working hours and on-call rota participation.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive, collaborative and safety-first working environment.
• Support the Site Manager and Lead Technician in delivering Statkraft's operational requirements.
• Execute maintenance, repairs and fault-finding activities across Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) and Balance of Plant (BoP) equipment.
• Ensure contractual and customer service obligations are met.
• Utilise maintenance systems and reporting tools to support performance and continuous improvement.
• Provide hands-on technical support for multi-brand wind turbine and power delivery systems.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture, including the authority to stop work where necessary.
• Participate in all required operational, technical and safety training programmes.
• Maintain relevant authorisations and competencies, including AT and SAP status.
