Job summary

Siemens Gamesa is seeking a Service & Maintenance Technician to ensure lifting and transport equipment remains safe, compliant, and ready for wind power projects. You will inspect, service, maintain, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and instrumentation systems while upholding a safety-first culture.

You will work with a collaborative team, support projects both at home base and off-site, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rota to meet demanding timelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience maintaining, servicing, inspecting, and repairing industrial or specialist equipment.
• Understanding of mechanical systems with hydraulics and electrical equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns using a structured problem-solving approach.
• Ability to read and understand procedures, specifications, drawings, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Strong commitment to safe working practices and contributing to a positive safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, register, and maintain lifting equipment to ensure compliance and readiness.
• Service, fault diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and instrumentation systems.
• Conduct periodic inspections and preventative maintenance of lifting equipment.
• Carry out electrical safety testing in line with standards.
• Assemble and disassemble transport equipment to support project requirements.
• Maintain accurate service and inspection documentation.
• Support breakdown response activities with methodical fault-finding.
• Contribute to a 24/7 on-call service for operations.
• Work with colleagues across departments to deliver equipment solutions.
• Promote healthy HSE practices at all times.
