Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a GMC-registered General Practitioner for ad-hoc or regular sessions at a GP practice in Winchester. The role focuses on flexible, well-organised sessions within a supportive primary care environment with clear daily workflows.

You will manage a varied caseload, provide high-quality patient assessments, telephone triage, and continuity of care, supported by strong admin workflows and a team-focused culture.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered General Practitioner required.
• Active inclusion on the NHS Performers List.
• Recent UK primary care experience.
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or similar systems.
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Running routine and urgent GP clinics.
• Managing acute presentations and complex cases.
• Providing telephone consultations and triage as part of daily workflow.
• Reviewing investigations, results and medication queries.
• Prescribing safely and appropriately.
• Documenting consultations clearly using the clinical system.
• Supporting the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks.
