Job summary

Sellick Partnership is seeking a STEP-qualified Private Client Solicitor to join their specialist team in Shrewsbury. You will handle complex, high-value matters in wills, trusts and tax, advising high-net-worth individuals and families while building lasting client relationships.

You’ll work closely with Partners, manage your own caseload, and develop expertise in estate planning, inheritance tax, asset protection and wealth preservation.

Qualifications

• STEP qualified with experience across wills, trusts, probate and estate administration.
• Experience advising on Inheritance Tax and capital taxes.
• Ability to manage deadlines and complex matters.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft complex wills and advise on estate planning.
• Provide inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning.
• Create and structure trusts and ongoing trust management.
• Administer high-value and complex estates.
• Advise on asset protection and wealth preservation.
• Manage own caseload while collaborating with Partners.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Wills, Trusts & Tax Solicitor to join a highly regarded and specialist Private Client team in Shrewsbury.

This is a great opportunity for a STEP-qualified Solicitor looking to work on complex, high-value private client matters, advising high-net-worth individuals and families on sophisticated estate planning, tax and trust matters.

The Opportunity

You’ll work directly with experienced Partners and senior colleagues, gaining exposure to high-quality work while managing your own caseload and developing long-term client relationships.

Your workload is likely to include:

• Drafting complex wills and advising on estate planning
• Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax planning
• Trust creation, structuring and ongoing management
• Administration of high-value and complex estates
• Advising on asset protection and wealth preservation
• Providing clear, commercially focused advice to high-net-worth clients
• Managing your own caseload while working closely with Partners and senior Solicitors

About You

• STEP qualified
• Experience across wills, trusts, probate and estate administration
• Confident advising on Inheritance Tax, asset protection and capital taxes
• Comfortable handling complex matters and working to deadlines
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Commercially aware and proactive
• Confident building relationships with clients and professional contacts
