Edwards & Pearce is recruiting a Wills & Probate Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its Private Client team in Skipton. You will manage a varied private client caseload, including Wills, Powers of Attorney and probate, with opportunities to own files and build client relationships.

We seek client-focused, organised professionals with 3+ years PQE, strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise. You will work with experienced colleagues in a supportive, employee-owned firm.

Formación

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least three years' post-qualification experience.
• Experience managing a private client caseload including Wills, Powers of Attorney and probate.
• Exposure to complex Court of Protection matters.
• Excellent client care and relationship-building skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex legal issues clearly.
• Highly organised, methodical and accurate; attention to detail.
• Confident IT skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines; work under pressure.
• Proactive, initiative, team player.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a varied caseload of private client matters from initial instruction through to completion.
• Draft Wills and advise clients on estate planning matters.
• Prepare Lasting Powers of Attorney and provide guidance on the relevant processes.
• Handle probate applications and the administration of estates.
• Manage complex Court of Protection matters.
• Respond to new client enquiries and build strong, professional client relationships.
• Prepare legal documentation accurately and ensure compliance with relevant procedures and deadlines.
• Manage file billing and ensure outstanding fees are recovered appropriately.
• Maintain up-to-date legal knowledge and keep abreast of relevant developments in private client law.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of client care and service delivery.
