Job description

RUN THE WHITE HART, ASHBY-DE-LA-ZOUCH
Community Wet Partnership Agreement
Overview

The White Hart is a characterful town centre pub located on Ashby High Street, renowned for its heritage, strong community connections and thriving wet-led trade. Known for its live sport, entertainment and strong sports team links, it attracts locals, tourists and weekend circuit drinkers throughout the year. With weekly sales of approximately £18,500, a 97% wet sales mix and an outstanding reputation with guests. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced operator to build on a well-established business while unlocking additional food and community-driven growth.

The business

Full of history and character, from the famous bear in the cellar to the original beams throughout the building, the White Hart offers a unique and memorable guest experience. The pub sits prominently on Ashby High Street with a small rear car park and features one large trading area split into distinct zones, including a welcoming front section ideal for daytime drinks and casual dining, alongside a main bar and rear trading area focused on live sport and team games. At the rear is the pub's standout feature, a unique garden room known as "Wembley", complete with a large screen TV, making it ideal for events, functions and major sporting occasions. Key strengths include its exceptional reputation, established sports and entertainment offer, and loyal base of local sports teams and regular guests.

The opportunity

The White Hart already benefits from a strong wet-led business and a loyal customer base, providing the perfect platform for an entrepreneurial operator to take it even further. The strongest growth priorities are increasing food sales by delivering consistently high standards and execution, maximising the pub's popularity for live music, entertainment and sport, and strengthening relationships with existing and former sports teams to create a vibrant calendar of weekly activity. There is a significant opportunity to establish the White Hart as the community hub of Ashby while maintaining its appeal as one of the town's most popular social destinations.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for an operator or management team who thrives in a town centre environment and understands how to drive sales in a successful wet-led community pub.
