Job summary

Currys PLC is seeking a White Goods Engineer based in Reading, with duties across Basingstoke and surrounding areas. The role is permanent and full-time, with a salary in the 30–38k range and a 5 over 7 days shift pattern.

You will test, diagnose, repair, and service white goods in customers' homes, driving your own van and delivering great customer experiences. Key responsibilities include on-site fault-finding, providing technical knowledge across appliances, and contributing to Currys'

Qualifications

• Proven experience in White Goods repairs.
• Full UK/EU driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Ideally ACS Qualifications (CCN1, CKR1) in Essential Gas Safety Domestic etc.
• To love that feeling when you've delivered for a customer.

Role overview:

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

• Driving your company van and managing your own day effectively (as you'll work mainly on your own).
• Testing, diagnosing and fixing white goods in our customers' homes.
• Providing and implementing technical knowledge across a range of white goods appliances.
• Building up our reputation as a home services expert.

A lot of the job comes down to skill and efficiency, but building a rapport with customers is just as important. They will welcome you into their homes, and it'll be down to you to get their products back on track and put their minds at ease.

You will need:

• Proven experience in White Goods repairs.
• Full UK/EU driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Ideally (but not essential) ACS Qualifications (or equivalent) in Essential Gas Safety Domestic (CCN1), Gas Cookers and Ranges (CKR1).
• To love that feeling when you've delivered for a customer.
