Job summary

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Wheelchair Therapy Technician to join a small, friendly team providing assessment and equipment for children and adults. The post is based across Brighton, Bognor and Horsham with remote, clinic and community working and full induction/training.

Applicants should have a practical, organised and flexible approach. A full valid driving licence is essential, and experience with equipment is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate well with people of all ages and needs.
• Full driving licence is essential.
• Experience with equipment and tools is an advantage but not essential; training will be provided.
• Ability to work well alone and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor/review delegated clients' current wheelchair and related accessories under therapists/engineers.
• Work with the clinical team to provide a high level of service to registered users.
• Report to therapists/engineers on client performance and needs; report repairs/servicing requirements.
• Utilise personal/communication skills to enhance service to clients, families and carers.
