Job summary

Equals One is seeking a Bench Engineer/Field Service Engineer to repair, service and maintain wheelchairs from a workshop and in the field.

You will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and be responsible for paperwork, warranty returns, infection control, and stock processes.

Qualifications include a driving licence and DBS, with training on wheelchair engineering provided.

Qualifications

• Background and experience in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Full Driving Licence required.
• GCSE level / NVQ level 1 or equivalent.
• Satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure required.
• Other Training will be provided on wheelchair engineering.

Responsibilities

• Repair, service and maintain wheelchairs as directed.
• Process all related paperwork daily.
• Ensure warranty and scrap returns are labeled and collected.
• Follow infection control policy at all times.
• Be on-call with standby shifts and occasional hourly pay.
