Job summary

New Look in London or Weymouth is seeking a Sourcing Operations Manager to support packaging waste compliance reporting for PPT, EPR, SMOW and PPWR. You will manage supplier onboarding, maintain data quality and generate essential analytics with external partners.

Collaborating with Tax, DC, Retail and Procurement, you’ll close data gaps, drive supplier engagement and ensure timely submissions to authorities while supporting continuous improvement in compliance processes.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Support the successful delivery of New Look’s packaging waste compliance obligations, working closely with external service providers to ensure accurate, timely and complete reporting for PPT, EPR, SMOW and relevant international packaging requirements.
  • Maintain supplier data and contact records, coordinating the onboarding of new suppliers with external service providers and ensuring information remains accurate and up to date.
  • Collate, validate and analyse supplier intake data to support forecast and actual reporting requirements, including obligation calculations and external submissions.
  • Work collaboratively with Tax, Distribution Centre, Retail, Procurement and Supplier teams to obtain the data required for compliance reporting and to resolve any gaps, queries or discrepancies.
  • Create and maintain supplier tracking reports, using analysis to identify trends, gaps, non-compliance risks and opportunities to improve supplier engagement and reporting performance.
  • Review and validate third-party provider data and reports, liaising with service providers to ensure accuracy before submission to HMRC, DEFRA or other relevant authorities via the Tax team.
  • Provide analytical and administrative support for PPWR requirements, including reviewing supplier documentation, identifying reporting gaps and supporting supplier follow-up activity.
  • Support the communication, implementation and monitoring of current and future packaging legislation requirements, including PPWR roadmap activity and supplier readiness.
  • Monitor supplier performance and engagement, using targeted outreach to drive improvements and supporting compliance charge processes where required.
  • Maintain annual compliance workflows, monitor key reporting deadlines and ensure Ways of Working documentation remains accurate, current and fit for purpose.
  • Attend relevant regulatory webinars or briefings, assessing the impact of changes on current processes and escalating key updates where required.
  • Provide administrative support for the supplier slippage process and wider sourcing operations activity as needed.
  • Support wider Sourcing Team projects and general administrative tasks to help ensure the effective day-to-day operation of the function.
Who you are:
  • Strong analytical capability, with experience working with large volumes of data, validating information, identifying discrepancies and translating findings into clear reporting outputs and actions.
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to collate, manipulate, analyse and present data accurately from multiple sources.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple reporting requirements, deadlines and workflows.
  • Confident communicator, able to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, suppliers and external partners to obtain data, resolve queries and escalating risks where needed.
  • Able to work independently, prioritise workload effectively and support continuous improvement in compliance reporting processes.
  • Experience in regulatory, compliance, audit or data-led reporting processes would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of packaging compliance requirements such as PPT, EPR, SMOW and PPWR, and/or experience in a retail, sourcing, supply chain or head office environment, would be beneficial.
  • Sourcing Operations Manager and Sourcing Team – day-to-day support, workload prioritisation, compliance reporting, supplier data management and escalation of risks or issues.
  • Suppliers and External Service Providers – supplier onboarding, data collection, query resolution, reporting validation and improvement of supplier engagement and compliance performance.
  • Tax, Distribution Centre, Retail and Procurement Teams – collaboration to obtain accurate operational and packaging data required for PPT, EPR, SMOW and other compliance reporting.
  • International Standards Manager – support for PPWR roadmap activity, supplier documentation review and ongoing packaging compliance process management.
  • Finance, Compliance and Audit stakeholders – provision of accurate reporting outputs, supporting evidence and updates to inform assurance, governance and decision-making.
