Job summary

Templewood Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Registered Manager (Maternity Cover- 1 year) in Weybridge to lead a domiciliary care service. You will oversee day-to-day management, compliance and performance, ensuring safe, person-centred care and ongoing service improvement.

You will work within CQC guidelines, manage staff, and develop care plans, audits and records while coordinating with local authorities and healthcare partners.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience within domiciliary or home care.
• Experience managing care teams and overseeing care delivery within the community.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance requirements.
• Understanding safeguarding, medication management, risk assessments and person-centred care planning.
• Experience managing complaints, incidents, investigations and staff performance.
• Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.
• The confidence to make decisions and manage challenging situations effectively.
• Experience working with local authorities, healthcare professionals and other external stakeholders.
• A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Willingness to participate in the shared out-of-hours on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the domiciliary care service.
• Ensuring the service operates in accordance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation.
• Leading, supporting and developing care coordinators, field supervisors and care staff.
• Ensuring care plans and risk assessments are completed and reviewed.
• Monitoring care quality through audits, spot checks and quality assurance processes.
• Managing safeguarding concerns, complaints, incidents and investigations.
• Overseeing recruitment, induction, training, supervision and performance management.
• Ensuring care visits are planned, allocated and delivered per care plans.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant staff and service-user records.
• Building relationships with service users, families and professionals.
• Supporting CQC inspections and ensuring inspection readiness.
• Identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and performance.
• Supporting service growth and working with commissioners.
