Job summary

WWT Castle Espie is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Visitor Engagement Officer to tell the story of Castle Espie and the internationally important wetlands of Strangford Lough. You will lead our visitor engagement and communications and work with the Site Manager and colleagues across WWT to connect people with wetlands and wildlife.

This 30-hour-per-week role, based at Castle Espie, covers communications, interpretation, digital content and PR.

Qualifications

• Creative and enthusiastic communicator with ability to tell stories.
• Strong interpersonal skills and comfort engaging diverse visitors.
• Ability to plan, organise and deliver engaging visitor experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead visitor engagement and communications activities at Castle Espie.
• Develop and deliver the annual communications plan and campaigns.
• Manage digital channels and collaborate with central teams on interpretation.
