Job summary

Aster Group is seeking a Wet Trade Level 2 technician in Wiltshire to join our responsive repairs team. You will perform plastering, tiling, bricklaying and related tasks in customers' homes, delivering quality results with a strong customer-service mindset.

You will work mostly independently but remain connected to the wider team, using a handheld PDA to access job details. A UK driving licence is required, and a Basic DBS check will be completed for successful applicants.

Qualifications

• NVQ or equivalent in general building.
• Ability to identify causes and specify materials for rectification.
• Confident IT user with PDA; manage van stock and expectations of others.
• Full UK manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plastering, studwork, drylining and plaster-boarding, wall tiling, laying vinyl flooring and bricklaying/rendering as required.
• Work in customers' homes with a strong customer-service focus and commitment to improvement.
• Work mainly solo but be part of the wider responsive repairs team, using a PDA for job details.

Are you good with a trowel, do you have a muck in do anything mindset? We are looking for a Wet Trade Multi (Plaster, Tile and Bricklayer) to join our team in Wiltshire.

What you will be doing

You will bring your skills and experience including plastering, studwork, drylining and plaster-boarding, wall tiling, laying vinyl flooring and bricklaying/rendering to name just a few.

You’ll be working in our customer’s homes, so you’ll have a customer service focus and being committed to continuous improvement.

No two days are the same. You’ll carry out a number of jobs in a day with your work shared with you via your handheld device, your PDA. Primarily you’ll work alone but you’ll be part of the wider responsive repairs team so there’s always someone at the end of the phone to support you.

Internally, your job title will be Wet Trade Level 2.

About you

We are looking for someone with the following experience:

• You’ll have an NVQ or equivalent or demonstrate previous significant experience in general building.
  
• You’ll be able to identify causes and specify materials required to rectify any arising issues.
  
• You’ll need to be a confident user of IT, your work is shared via a PDA and you’ll need to control and manage, yourself, your van stock and the expectations of others.
  
• You’ll be working with a variety of teams and communicating with them regularly, so you’ll be confident in managing expectations of both internal and external customers.
  
• We will supply a company vehicle to get you around, so you’ll need a full, UK manual driving licence.
