Job summary

Darland High School in Wales is seeking a capable teacher to teach across KS3 and KS4, promoting Welsh language development and high standards of achievement. Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching, learning, assessment and high standards of achievement.
• Evaluate student target and performance data and analyse as per calendar documents.
• Engage in all school activities and events within the Darland High School calendar.
• Promote positive student discipline and communicate with parents.
• Assist in producing and updating Welsh department schemes of work and assessments.
• Model excellence in teaching and learning practices.
• Identify underachieving students and implement progress-support strategies.
• Create an atmosphere conducive to challenging and differentiated learning.
• Ensure provision for ALN, higher ability and disadvantaged groups.
• Be an active department member in curriculum development and planning.
• Undertake other duties as required by the Headteacher.
• Teach across the age and ability range.
