Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a Welsh-medium secondary school in Swansea to appoint a dedicated Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant for an immediate start. You will support pupils across the secondary age range, assist lessons and provide ALN support as required.

The role offers full-time, part-time, short-term and long-term opportunities, with access to FREE CPD training, certificates and ongoing consultant support. Daily pay is £85.50–£90, plus flexible working and a referral scheme.

Qualifications

• Fluent Welsh is essential.
• Experience with children or young people in education preferred.
• Enhanced DBS registered on Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across the secondary age range in lessons and activities.
• Assist teaching staff with classroom management and learning support for ALN pupils.
• Contribute to creating an inclusive Welsh-medium learning environment and foster pupil confidence.
