Job summary

Freedom Leisure in Wales is seeking enthusiastic Swim Teachers to join our friendly team. You will teach swimming lessons either in groups or one-to-one, and you will help create a welcoming, safe environment for learners of all ages.

We provide full training, flexible casual hours, and opportunities to develop a rewarding career in a not-for-profit leisure trust that supports local communities across England and Wales.

Qualifications

• To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre’s swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience
• To communicate with the children’s parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme
• To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers
• An ability to deal with children and their parents
• Welsh language skills are desirable
• Level 2 Swim Teaching qualification is desirable
• DBS check

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming to groups or individuals as part of the Leisure Centre’s programme.
• Deliver high-quality customer service at all times.
• Support supervision around the pool area to ensure safety.
