Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd in Aberdare is seeking a passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to lead our Nursery in a Welsh-speaking primary school. The Nursery Lead HLTA will take day-to-day responsibility for the nursery and deliver engaging learning experiences through Welsh.

You will work with three Teaching Assistants, supporting children's development and collaborating with school leaders and families to foster a safe, inclusive, and thriving early years environment.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
• Fluent Welsh language ability.
• Experience in Early Years settings preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Nursery class on a day-to-day basis.
• Deliver Welsh-medium, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Collaborate with three Teaching Assistants to build a strong team.
• Support children's social, language, and physical development in a nurturing environment.
• Work with leaders, staff and parents to ensure every child thrives.
