Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting fluent Welsh-speaking Cover Supervisors to work across Welsh-medium secondary schools and FE settings in Newport. Start dates are immediate, with opportunities for short- and long-term placements across the area.

Deliver prepared work, maintain calm classes, and support learners through Welsh. You will collaborate with staff and adapt to different settings to meet learner needs.

Qualifications

• Fluent Welsh (spoken and written).
• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils and/or FE learners.
• Confidence managing behaviour and learning independently.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• EWC registration (or willingness to register).
• Proactive, reliable and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set work across a variety of subjects and curriculum areas.
• Maintain a calm, focused and engaging learning environment.
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school or college procedures.
• Support learners with their studies through the medium of Welsh.
• Work closely with teaching and lecturing staff to ensure continuity of learning.
• Adapt confidently to different educational settings and learner needs.
