Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting Welsh Speaking Cover Supervisors to work across Aberdare and surrounding schools. You will supervise classes, deliver pre-prepared lessons and support learning through Welsh where required.

Ideal candidates are fluent Welsh speakers with classroom experience, strong communication, and a reliable, adaptable approach. DBS Update Service is preferred, or willingness to obtain one; roles are flexible with long-term or day-to-day assignments and competitive daily rates.

Qualifications

• Fluent Welsh speaker is essential.
• Experience working with children or young people is essential.
• Confident in managing a classroom.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Enhanced DBS via Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared lessons.
• Support learning through the medium of Welsh where required.
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
• Encourage pupil engagement and positive behaviour.
• Ensure pupils complete the work provided by their teacher.
• Work alongside teaching staff and school leadership.
