Job summary

Aspire People Limited is recruiting fluent Welsh-speaking Cover Supervisors to support pupils across Newport schools. The role involves supervising classes, delivering prepared lessons, and promoting Welsh language learning in appropriate contexts.

We offer flexible, long-term and short-term placements with competitive daily rates from £90 and holiday pay. CPD training on safeguarding and behaviour management is provided, and a dedicated consultant supports you throughout placements.

Qualifications

• Fluent Welsh speaker is essential.
• Experience working with children or young people is essential.
• Confident in managing a classroom.
• Strong communication and organisation skills.
• Positive, reliable and adaptable approach.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared lessons.
• Support learning through the medium of Welsh where required.
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
• Encourage pupil engagement and positive behaviour.
• Ensure pupils complete the work provided by their teacher.
• Work alongside teaching staff and school leadership.
