Job summary

Supply Hive Wales in Newport is seeking a Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant for a full-time role in a Welsh-medium primary school.

You will support pupils through Welsh in class and small groups, help develop confidence in speaking, reading and writing, and assist the class teacher to keep lessons running smoothly. DBS check is preferred.

The role is Monday to Friday with weekly pay and safeguarding training provided.

Qualifications

• Welsh-speaking with children.
• Experience with children in school, nursery, club or similar.
• No TA qualification needed – we'll chat through your experience before you register.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils through the medium of Welsh, in class and in small groups.
• Helping children build confidence speaking, reading and writing in Welsh.
• Working with the class teacher to keep lessons running smoothly.
• Looking after pupils' wellbeing at break, lunch and through the school day.
