Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Welsh-medium secondary schools and specialist ALN provisions in Carmarthenshire. This flexible, supply-based role offers the chance to gain experience across diverse settings while contributing to pupils' learning, confidence and wellbeing.

You'll work with learners in mainstream and specialist ALN units, helping with 1:1 and small-group support, Welsh-medium delivery, and strategies to promote

Qualifications

• Welsh-speaking required.
• Experience with children or young people desirable.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Support learners in small groups and 1:1 sessions.
• Assist teachers with Welsh-medium lessons.
• Encourage pupil participation, independence and confidence.
• Provide academic, social and emotional support.
• Adapt resources to meet learning needs.
• Support behaviour management and create positive environments.
