Prospero Teaching is looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants to support children with additional learning needs across settings in Cardiff. This role is based in welsh medium schools, therefore it is essential that you are able to communicate fluently in Welsh. It is desirable to have gone through the Welsh education system yourself, although not essential. This is a supply position therefore we have roles in both Primary and Secondary schools, and you are able to state your preference in the registration process when your application has been received.
You will be supporting children who require additional support, this may be due to academic needs or additional learning needs.

Experience, Training and Qualifications
It is essential that you have experience working with children in some capacity, this can be a voluntary position. You MUST be able to speak welsh to apply for this position.
Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
Team Teach is desired but not essential as training can be provided.
Up to date Safeguarding training is imperative; you can undertake a free course with Prospero Teaching if you have not completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months.
Strong Behaviour Management skills are a must.
To be eligible for any teaching job with Prospero Teaching, you must
Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with online update service or be willing to process a new application.
Provide two professional child related references.
