Job summary

Academics is seeking a Welsh Medium Primary Teacher to support local Welsh-medium schools in Pontypridd and surrounding areas. You will deliver engaging Welsh lessons across primary year groups and work flexibly on day-to-day ad-hoc bookings.

QTS is essential, with fluent Welsh speakers preferred. You will plan and deliver lessons, manage behaviours, and assess pupil progress while upholding safeguarding policies and DBS/EWC checks as required.

Qualifications

• Welsh fluency is essential.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Experience in Welsh-medium settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Welsh-medium lessons across primary year groups.
• Plan and deliver lessons in line with school expectations.

The Role

As a Welsh Medium Primary Teacher, you could be working across a range of primary schools and year groups in Pontypridd and surrounding areas. Responsibilities may include:

• Delivering engaging and effective lessons in Welsh
• Working flexibly across a range of Primary Schools in RCT
• Planning and delivering lessons in line with school expectations
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively
• Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
• Adapting teaching approaches to meet different learning needs
• Working alongside teaching assistants and other school staff
• Assessing and monitoring pupil progress where required
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
