Job summary

City Skills is seeking a WELLSTUDENT Coach - SEMH to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You will work with a caseload to help learners feel safe, understood, and connected within the college community.

Responsibilities include targeted support, enabling engagement with education and progression toward adult outcomes, using relational, student-centred approaches. DBS checks apply as part of safeguarding.

• Committed and enthusiastic individual to join the team.
• Experience supporting young people with SEMH needs is desirable.
• Ability to build safe, trusting relationships with students.

Salary: £24,770 - £27,231 (Pro rata salary - £21,954 - £24,136.)Incremental progression throughout the band is available.

About the Role

We are looking for committed, enthusiastic individual to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work directly with young people who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

You will be responsible for a caseload of students, providing targeted support to help them feel safe, understood, and connected within the college community. Through relational, student-centred approaches, you will build strong and professional relationships that promote emotional wellbeing. Your role will focus on identifying and reducing barriers to learning, enabling students to fully engage with their education and work toward their Preparation for Adult outcomes and aspirations.
