Job summary

City Skills is seeking a WELLSTUDENT Coach to support students with SEMH needs and EHCPs in a city centre college in Manchester. The role focuses on safeguarding, building trust and promoting emotional wellbeing for learners in a 36-hour week during term time.

You will manage a caseload, identify barriers to learning, and work on strategies that help students engage with their education and plan for adult outcomes. The post is a fixed-term contract until 31 July 2027.

Qualifications

• Caseload of students with SEMH needs and an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
• Commitment to safeguarding and DBS checks as part of pre-employment procedures.
• Experience in relational, student-centered approaches to wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to help students feel safe, understood and connected within the college community.
• Identify and reduce barriers to learning to enable preparation for adult outcomes.
• Build strong, professional relationships to promote emotional wellbeing.
