Job description

We are thrilled to be recognized as winners at the 2024 Home Care Awards with The Grand Prix Award for the best homecare provider, Best Palliative / End-of-life Care, Best for Innovative Technology & Best for Team Support (staff wellbeing). All made possible by our wonderful support worker teams, which we would love for you to join!

Please note

  • We welcome people with no previous care experience; FULL training will be provided.
  • You must be able to drive and have access to your own car.
  • You must already have the right to work in the UK; we don't provide support with that.
  • We recruit colleagues local to our teams to support their communities, so we can't accommodate relocation. Please ensure you live within approximately 5-10 miles of our Abingdon team.

Here at BelleVie Care, we value the simple acts of kindness—knowing how a warm cup of tea, a compliment, or sharing a laugh can make a significant difference to someone living with challenges or loneliness.

We seek out the hidden talents and compassion that often go unnoticed, ensuring that those we support can live their best lives at home.

If you have warmth and kindness to share, and a strong sense of community spirit, we’d love to hear from you. Join a community that values all of you. If you’re looking for job satisfaction and a rewarding career in making people smile and giving back, please apply now!

Caring is a value and a vocation.

Find a career that values you.

Bring your whole self to work #Belleviecare

What can you expect when you join the BelleVie Care community?

We offer help around the home, personal care, transportation, companionship, and more. Here are some of our key differences:

  • Pay for all your hours—many of our Wellbeing Support Workers love their work, and we pay for all hours worked, not just time in someone's home.
  • No experience necessary—we hire based on values, personality, and attitude. Full training is provided.
  • Self-managed teams—make your own decisions with peer support.
  • Qualifications support—training towards NVQ available.
  • A community of change—supporting fulfilling careers in care through meaningful relationships.

Requirements of the role

  • Car driver with access to a vehicle.
  • No care experience required; full training provided.
  • Compassion, respect, and community support desire.
  • Availability for shifts of 5 hours (e.g., 7:30/8 am–1 pm and/or 4 pm–9 pm), including alternate weekends and weekdays.
  • Part-time and flexi roles available.

What We Offer

  • Real Living Wage employer—£14.21/hr for support in homes, £12.21/hr for travel, training, and other activities.
  • 45p per mile mileage reimbursement.
  • Weekly team meetings and buddy support.
  • Part-time or zero-hours roles.
  • 30 days annual leave plus your birthday off (pro-rata for part-time).
  • Supportive environment with diverse team skills.
  • Monthly wellness activities.
  • Referral scheme.
  • Funded Blue Light Card membership.
  • Training towards NVQ and other voluntary courses.
  • Option to launch linked enterprise.
  • Hear from our team: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqzSoVonTt8

You must be able to drive and have access to your own car. We do not provide visa sponsorship.

Salary / Benefits: £12.21 - 14.21 per hour
