Job summary

Bournemouth University invites a compassionate Wellbeing Practitioner to join the Counselling & Wellbeing service. You will hold a relevant professional qualification and deliver assessments, short-term interventions and group/workshop facilitation to promote student wellbeing and success.

The role is based within Student Services with opportunities for hybrid working and flexible arrangements where possible; interviews are scheduled for late September. BU offers extensive staff benefits.

  • Experience and skills to undertake assessments and provide short-term interventions.
  • Ability to facilitate groups and workshops to promote student wellbeing.

About the role

The Counselling & Wellbeing service plays a critical role in enabling students to thrive and we are looking for a compassionate and skilled Wellbeing Practitioner to join us. You will have a relevant professional qualification, for example Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Nurse, along with the experience and skills to undertake assessments and provide short-term interventions and facilitate groups and workshops to promote student retention, engagement, achievement and progression.

Interviews will be held on either 28th or 29th September.

This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service’s Points Based System.
