Job summary

Bournemouth University is seeking a compassionate Wellbeing Practitioner to join the Counselling & Wellbeing service. You will conduct assessments, provide short-term interventions and lead group sessions to promote student retention and progression.

The role supports an inclusive environment with flexible or hybrid working options and a commitment to staff wellbeing and development.

Qualifications

  • Eligible for a relevant professional qualification (e.g., PWP, OT or Mental Health Nurse).
  • Experience in assessing and providing short-term interventions.
  • Ability to facilitate groups and workshops for students.

  • Provide short-term interventions and signpost as needed.

About the role

The Counselling & Wellbeing service plays a critical role in enabling students to thrive and we are looking for a compassionate and skilled Wellbeing Practitioner to join us. You will have a relevant professional qualification, for example Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Nurse, along with the experience and skills to undertake assessments and provide short-term interventions and facilitate groups and workshops to promote student retention, engagement, achievement and progression.

Interviews will be held on either 28th or 29th September.

This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service’s Points Based System.
