Job summary

Cinnamon is seeking a Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator for Merriman Grange in Worthing. This bank contract role covers annual leave and ad hoc sickness with rotas planned in advance.

The position pays £12.76 per hour plus company benefits. You will coordinate activities and volunteers to support residents, introducing suitable programmes to help older people stay independent and integrate into the local community.

Responsibilities

• Organise activities that engage residents socially, mentally, and physically where appropriate.

• Encourage participation of residents and staff in activities.
• Maintain posters and notice boards within the home.

Merriman Grange is a luxurious residential and dementia care home based in Worthing offering state-of-the-art facilities, which include 72 large ensuite bedrooms and 5 luxury care suites. The home also features luxurious lounges and dining rooms, an on-site café bar, a cinema and a professional hair and beauty salon.

We are looking for a flexible Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator to work on an ‘as and when’ basis to cover annual leave and ad hoc sickness. Rotas are planned in advance so you will have notice of days/weeks to be worked.

TheWellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator role is a hands-on working role with responsibility for coordinating a successful activities and volunteer programme within the Cinnamon home. This includes internal and external communication about activities-focused programmes for our residents.

To introduce appropriate activities for older people which support independence and to identify activities in the surrounding areas that will assist residents to integrate into the local community.

Main Responsibilities:

• 1. Organise and conduct activities that encourage both social, mental and if appropriate physical stimulation for the residents within the home
• 2.To help organise fund raising events.
• 3.To help organise special events i.e. Christmas entertainment, Ascot, Royal Occasion, etc.
• 4.To help produce a monthly programme of events to be discussed with the General Manager of the home.
• 5.To encourage residents and team members to participate in the homes activities programme.
• 6.Maintenance of posters and notice boards within the home.
