Job summary

Educato Recruitment in Rochdale is seeking a dedicated Wellbeing Support Worker to support secondary-aged pupils in an alternative provision. You will help pupils develop confidence, coping strategies and engagement with education, while working with the school team to ensure safeguarding and professional boundaries.

You will build trusting relationships, provide pastoral support and assist with emotional regulation and inclusive activities, contributing to a supportive environment where pupils

Qualifications

• Experience in pastoral support, youth work or mentoring.
• Ability to communicate effectively with young people and build trust.
• Calm, approachable and able to respond sensitively to difficult situations.
• Understanding safeguarding, confidentiality and boundaries.
• Experience in alternative provision or SEMH is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Providing pastoral and wellbeing support to secondary-aged pupils.
• Building positive relationships and offering guidance when pupils are experiencing difficulties.
• Helping pupils develop confidence, communication skills and positive coping strategies.
• Supporting pupils with social interactions, emotional regulation and conflict resolution.
• Encouraging engagement with lessons, school routines and wider activities.
• Identifying concerns and communicating appropriately with relevant staff.
